The candles with the classic technical tools on them: moving averages, Bollinger bands, VWAP, support and resistance, Fibonacci, zigzag, automatic trend lines and channels, and CCI โ with a plain-sentence summary under the chart.
๐ก Two pages, one ticker
The Options Chart draws only the option book on the candles; the TA Chart draws only the technical tools. Each stays clean. Your ticker and every setting follow you from one to the other, and the readings under the chart use all of them.
The top of the page works as on every ticker page. The full reference is the โ Help button on the page itself (or here).
Choose W (weekly) first to see the big picture, then D.
Turn on a couple of averages (the defaults are HMA 21 and EMA 50) โ is the price above or below them?
Click โฑโฒ Lines: the page finds the best resistance and support lines for you. Click again for the 2nd, 3rdโฆ best.
Read the grey sentence above the chart: "is 1.2 % from the rising support line 182.40".
Open ๐ Technicals under the chart for the same thing as a few plain sentences, then cards.
Moving averages
The average price over the last N bars. SMA = simple (slowest), EMA = weights recent bars more, HMA = Hull (fastest, least lag). Kind and length are in โ Settings โ Averages.
You see
Textbook meaning
price above the average
Uptrend on that time scale.
price below
Downtrend on that time scale.
a short average crosses above a long one
Trend turning up ("golden cross" for 50/200).
price far above the average
Stretched; often pauses or pulls back toward it.
CCI โ how stretched is the price?
CCI (20)
Textbook meaning
above +200
Extremely stretched upward.
+100 to +200
Strong upward move / overbought zone.
โ100 to +100
Normal range.
โ100 to โ200
Strong downward move / oversold zone.
below โ200
Extremely stretched downward.
๐ Pro tipIn a strong trend CCI can stay beyond ยฑ100 for weeks, so "stretched" is not a reversal signal by itself. Look for divergence: price makes a new high but CCI makes a lower high.
Bollinger bands
A band two standard deviations above and below a 20-bar average. About 95 % of closes normally sit inside.
You see
Textbook meaning
price touching the upper band
Stretched up (in a strong trend the price can "walk the band").
price touching the lower band
Stretched down.
bands very narrow โ a "squeeze"
Volatility is unusually low. A bigger move often follows; the direction is unknown.
The average price paid, weighted by volume, since the anchor date. Above it = buyers since then are in profit on average.
POC
Point of Control: the price where the most volume traded. Often a magnet.
S/R
Levels where many swing highs and lows cluster. "ร3" = 3 pivots at that price; more = stronger.
fib
Fibonacci levels (0, 23.6, 38.2, 50, 61.8, 78.6, 100 %) across the recent range. Pullbacks often pause at 38.2โ61.8 %.
zigzag
Connects swings bigger than N ร ATR. A higher multiplier = only big swings. The last leg is "still open" until it reverses.
channel
The best straight regression channel in the look-back; it needs 2 or more touches per side and the price inside, or none is drawn.
Automatic trend lines and channels
Button
What it finds
โฑโฒ Lines
The best resistance line (through swing highs) and support line (through swing lows), ranked by touches, how well the price respected it, length, and closeness to today's price.
โค Channel
A parallel channel: thick = the two walls, gold dotted = inner lines, grey = the middle.
โญ ABC
A channel built from three real pivots (A, B, C), ranked by how many closes stay inside. Marked โณ so you know it is automatic.
Line style / state
Meaning
solid
In play (near the price).
dashed
Far away.
dotted
The price has already closed through it.
AT ยท NEAR ยท FAR
Sitting on the line ยท close (the % is shown) ยท not in play yet.
BROKEN_UP / DOWN
The price closed through it.
Position in the channel
Meaning
80 โ 100 %
Near the top edge: resistance is close, room to run up is small.
20 โ 80 %
Mid-range: no edge nearby.
0 โ 20 %
Near the bottom edge: support is close.
above 100 % / below 0 %
The price has left the channel (a breakout or breakdown).
Want one list for many tickers? Trend & Channel draws every ticker's lines on a page; TA Scanner filters them on indicators.
Drawing tools
Tool
How to use it
โ cursor
Normal mode (or press Esc).
โ line
One click: a horizontal line at that price. It snaps to the bar's open/high/low/close.
โฑ trend
Two clicks: a trend line through both points, extended to the right.
โญ ABC draw
Three clicks: A, B, C. BโC is the main channel line, a parallel runs through A, with 25/50/75 % lines inside.
โท measure
Two clicks: the change in $ and %, the number of bars, and the size in ATRs.
โ erase ยท โถ undo ยท ๐ clear
Remove one of your lines ยท undo (Ctrl+Z) ยท remove all (undo brings them back).
๐ Pro tipMeasure in ATRs. A move of "3.2 ร ATR" means the same on a $20 stock and a $900 stock, so you can compare setups across names. A pullback of 1โ2 ATR in an uptrend is normal; 4 + ATR is a real break.
The ๐ Technicals tab
Opens with a few plain sentences ("In short"), then cards, each with a bar showing where today's reading sits against this ticker's own previous sessions. Amber cards mark the places where something is unusual or the price has to decide.
โ Textbook meanings are not forecastsPhrases like "CCI above 100 is stretched" are written next to each reading so you can read the page, but on most tickers they do not predict the next move better than chance. Use them to find levels and structure.
A routine that works
Weekly: trend and channel. Daily: where is the price in it?
Averages: above or below the ones that matter on this ticker?
Nearest support and resistance โ how many ATRs away?
CCI / Bollinger: is it stretched, or squeezed?
Take the level you care about to the Options Chart and see whether a wall or the flip sits at the same price.
