📊 TA Scanner — every chart, one question at a time
"Which charts have RSI at an extreme? Which just had a MACD cross? Which closed at a new high? Where is a squeeze building?" The scanner reads every ETF, stock and futures contract on the classic indicators each night. Tick the questions you care about, add your own limits, and sort by any column.
In 30 seconds
- Choose Market (ETF · stocks · futures) and Bars (Daily · Weekly).
- Pick a family of questions: Momentum · Trend · Range · Volatility · Volume & candle · Just happened.
- Click a question (a chip). The number on it is how many tickers pass; the table shrinks to those.
- Click a second one — a ticker must pass all of the questions that are on.
- Click a ticker's row for its full reading.
The top bar
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Market | ETFs, stocks, futures. All three are open to everyone. |
| Bars | Daily or Weekly. A "bar" is a day on Daily and a week on Weekly — every period below is counted in bars. The newest weekly bar is the week so far. |
| Group | Limit to one sector or fund family. |
| Trades at least | A dollar-volume floor (average dollars traded per session). Use it to leave thin names out — their indicators jump around. |
| Search | Type a ticker or part of a name. |
| ★ My list | Appears when you have starred tickers (the ☆ in any row). Click it to scan only your list. |
The line under the title says the date of the newest bar for each market.
The questions (chips)
Each chip is one yes/no test with a count. Click again to turn it off. Chips you have on stay visible in the On now row even when you change family; Clear all resets.
| Family | Questions | What the family answers |
|---|---|---|
| Momentum | RSI ≤ 30 / ≥ 70 · CCI ≤ −100 / ≥ +100 · Stochastic ≤ 20 / ≥ 80 · Money flow ≤ 20 / ≥ 80 · MACD histogram above / below 0 · MACD histogram rising | Is the move stretched, and which way is it leaning? |
| Trend | Above / below the 200 average · above / below 20, 50 and 200 · 50 average over / under the 200 · ADX ≥ 25 / ≤ 15 · +DI over −DI / −DI over +DI | Is there a trend, and how strong is it? |
| Range | New year high / low · new 20-bar high / low · within 3 % of the year high · within 10 % of the year low | Where is the price in its recent range? |
| Volatility | Squeeze: band width in the bottom 10 % · TTM squeeze · close outside the upper / lower band · narrowest range of 7 · range ≥ 2 ATR | Is the range unusually tight, or unusually wide? |
| Volume & candle | Volume ≥ 2× / ≤ 0.5× normal · gap up ≥ 2 % / down ≤ −2 % · inside bar / outside bar · 3+ up / down closes in a row | What did today's bar look like? |
| Just happened | 22 crosses within the last three bars — see below. | What changed very recently? |

Your own limit
The row Your own limit builds a test the chips do not have: choose any numeric column (RSI, ADX, %B, relative volume…), is at least or is at most, a value, then Add. It joins the chips as one more "all of these". The address of the page remembers it (c=rsi.le.30,adx.ge.25), so you can bookmark or share a screen.
The columns
Six column sets (Overview · Momentum · Trend · Volatility · Range · Volume & candle). Click a header to sort; click again to reverse. Hover a header for its meaning.
| Column | How to read it |
|---|---|
| RSI 14 | 0–100: how much of the last 14 bars' movement was up. Under 30 mostly down, over 70 mostly up. Amber/blue when beyond the lines. |
| CCI 20 | How far the typical price is from its 20-bar average, in units of its usual wobble. ±100 are the usual lines. |
| Stoch %K / %D | Where the close sits inside the last 14 bars' range, 0–100 (smoothed). 20 and 80 are the usual lines. Williams %R is the same idea from −100 to 0. |
| Money flow | RSI weighted by volume. |
| MACD hist | The 12/26-bar average gap minus its own 9-bar average. Above zero, the quick average is pulling away upward. |
| vs 20 / 50 / 200 avg | How far the close is above (+) or below (−) each average. |
| 50 vs 200 · bars since cross | The gap between the two averages; how long ago they last crossed (+ = the 50 rose through the 200). |
| ADX 14 · +DI · −DI | Trend strength (not direction): under 15 hardly a trend, over 25 a clear one. +DI / −DI say which side pushed harder. |
| ATR % | The normal daily range as a share of the price. |
| Boll %B · width · rank | %B: where the close sits between the bands (0 lower, 1 upper, over 1 outside). Width as a share of price; its rank against the last year (10 = narrower than 90 % of the year). |
| TTM squeeze | ● when the Bollinger bands sit inside the Keltner channel. |
| Real. vol % | 20-bar realised volatility, annualised. |
| Year range % | Where the close sits in the year's range: 0 = the low, 100 = the high. |
| Rel. volume | Volume over the average of the 20 bars before it. |
| $ volume / day | Average dollars traded per session over 20 bars. |
| Gap % · Inside · Outside · Streak | Today's open against yesterday's close · the bar sits inside / beyond the one before · consecutive closes in one direction (− = down). |
| Last 60 | A tiny line of the last 60 closes, green if up over the period. |
"Just happened" — the crosses of the last three bars
Twenty-two events, each counted if it happened on this bar or the two before it; the table says this bar, 1 bar ago, 2 bars ago.
| Group | Events |
|---|---|
| RSI | back above 30 · fell below 30 · rose above 70 · back below 70 |
| CCI | rose above +100 · back below +100 · fell below −100 · back above −100 |
| MACD | crossed above / below its signal · line rose above / fell below zero |
| Stochastic | %K up through %D (both under 25) · %K down through %D (both over 75) |
| Averages | close rose above / fell below the 50 · the 200 · the 50 average rose through / fell through the 200 |
| Bollinger | close moved above the upper band · below the lower band |

Recipes that read well
| Idea | Tick |
|---|---|
| A dip inside an uptrend | Above the 200 average + RSI ≤ 30 |
| A squeeze with people showing up | Squeeze (width in the bottom 10 %) + Volume ≥ 2× normal |
| A strong trend still going | ADX ≥ 25 + Above 20, 50 and 200 + New 20-bar high |
| Momentum turning back | Just happened: RSI back above 30 + MACD histogram rising |
| A quiet name about to wake | Narrowest range of 7 + ADX ≤ 15 |
A routine that works
- Weekly first (the big picture), then Daily.
- Set Trades at least to something you could actually trade.
- Pick 2–3 questions that describe the setup you like.
- Sort by $ volume or Rel. volume to see the most active names first.
- Open the 5–10 that look interesting on the TA Chart.
